L’Ami’s Garden Centre has been a locally family owned and operated business serving North Bay and area residents for over 25 years. The L’Ami family started out very small with Cornelius “Case” L’Ami and his 2 oldest sons landscaping in the spring and summer months and selling firewood in the off season. With a small greenhouse on their property in which they grew their own flowers for landscape projects, Case’s wife Johanna would sit in her chair on the family’s front yard and sell flowers left over from their landscape jobs.
When one day Case came home from a hard days work and asked Johanna “so how did we do?” and Johanna excitedly chimed up “great! we made $80.00!” That got the wheels spinning in Cases’s head and L’Ami’s Garden Centre was born.
Now with 2 of their sons working full time and another 8 or so part time employees L’Ami’s has grown to be one of the largest garden centres in the North, with their 5 acre garden centre, pet food and feed store as well as North Bay’s oldest and longest running outdoor market.
